1 v 1 League Rules
1

Keepers compete in pairs
Opposing goals 14-20 yards apart
Goals 5-8 yards wide
(depending on the age group)
Aim to score more goals than
opponent to win the game.

2
Keepers decide who starts by playing one round of 'Paper, Scissors, Stone'
3
Keepers alternate shooting
They shoot by volleying, half volleying, striking or throwing the ball towards their opponent's goal. They are not allowed to shoot any further than 2 yards past their own goal line
4
If the ball enters the goal, 2 goals are awarded to the shooter. If the ball is dropped and rebounds onto the field of play, 1 goal is awarded to the shooter. If the keeper saves the shot and the momentum of the save takes the ball wide of the goal or if the ball is deflected over the crossbar, 0 goals are awarded
5
If the ball rebounds into play, the shooter can run in and rebound the ball back towards the goal. If s(he) scores s(he) is awarded another goal to total 2 goals. The shooter is allowed one rebound effort per save, until the ball has gone dead
6
Alternatively if the shooter wishes, (s)he can pick up the rebound, return to his/her goal and have a shot from there
7
Games last between 6-10 minutes. At the end of the match scores are recorded. 3 points are awarded for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss
8
Each keeper plays every other keeper in his/her group. Keepers results are recorded and they are ranked in their group in order by a) Points, b) Goal Difference, c) Least Goals Conceded, d) Score between the two/multiple keepers
9
Apart from at the top of the Premiership and the bottom of the lowest division, the top keeper is promoted and the bottom keeper relegated for the following month's league
10
1v1 League is played roughly on a monthly basis in the Academy.
